The world.

I say try and change the world. Try And make a difference.  Make a difference about environmental problems that are going on know. If you just volunteered to clean up litter on the side of the street or little things like that, Its called; making a difference. Post a comment and tell me about what you have done to make a difference. One of my friends raised money for the blind. That is making a difference.  There is a saying that my teacher tought me That goes; There was once a boyon the beach that was covered in blue jellyfish. The boy was throwing the jellyfish back into the ocean because he cared. Then came along an old man. The old man said to the boy; " stop throwing those jellyfish into the ocean its waisting time and plus it wont make a difference to them." And the boy picked up one jelyfish and said to the old man; " It made a difference for that one". The point of that story is that even if you do something really little to help the world, It makes a big difference.

Problems

This is my problem page. If you have a problem like bullying and things like that, post a comment about that problem and I will try and help you fix it.

Awesome people

The way you now if you are awesome or not is if:
Just be yourself! Everybody's equal so we can all be awesome at the same time! If your friends say that you need to change to be their friend, say no! I'm fine the way I am! Because no matter how you dress or how you look its all about your personality! Just be yourself! That is what I think! And i know that I have great friends because they like me the way I am. And thats how everybody should feel about everybody. So I say if your friends say you have to change then don't be their friend! Its as easy as that!

My school report on Pukekos!

Pukeko
Pukekos waddling around the grass thinking the world revolves around them. Their navy blue and white feathers swishing back and forth in the wind. Their beak is knipping at the grass trying to find food.

Pukeko’s are about 51 centimetres long and have navy blue and white feathers, with a black head and upper-parts, and a red bill and legs. They are very pretty birds I think. Have you ever seen a pukeko?

A pukeko walks like an Egyptian dancer. They are very clumsy at flight but can fly long distances. They can be seen peacefully grazing enjoying the nice weather.

Pukekos have a wide range of food they eat. They mostly eat; invertebrates, eggs, mammals, grass, frogs and small chicks.

Pukekos live around forests, shrubs and bushes.  But they are widespread so that means they hang out anywhere, but live in certain places such as; wetlands and forest edges.

Pukekos are fascinating birds. They have fancy coloured feathers, they are BIG birds, they have a wide range  of diet, live in a LOT of places and have weird actions. So, Long live pukekos!

My thoughts

I really enjoy having this blog. I really do. Here is a story that I made up when I was bored. Once upon a time there was a unicorn. It's name was Corn-Feild. It was shaped like corn. It lived in the village of corn yard. It gave all the towns people corn when there fields ran out. The end. You probably think that was a boring story. Well if you post a comment on my story maybe you can change it around a bit so its more exciting.

Lily's Speech

Bloated stomachs, bones jutting out of sagging skin, sunken in eyes and pitiful cries...what am I talking about... hunger. There are 7 billion people in the world. With an estimated 925 million hungry people in the world, this means 1 in 7 people are hungry. I I know what you’re probably thinking you’re probably thinking well who cares its not our problem. Well, no. You’re wrong. It is our problem. I’m here to tell you where, why and how it’s our problem that all over the world hundreds of children die and suffer

You are probably thinking to yourself what is hunger what does it mean? Well I’m here to tell you. Hunger means lack for food which means they don't get enough food and go hungry. You probably think hungry means that they don’t eat for a couple of hours. It actually means they haven’t eaten for a few DAYS OR WEEKS! I mean how unfair!

Children that suffer from hunger, will probably live in Africa, Asia and other dry countries. I mean, have you even seen these  children? Their so hungry they look like living skeletons roaming the streets asking for food! We NEED to fix this.  It is our problem.

How they suffer is, in your human body, we need nutrition. To get nutrition you need to eat different types of food that are good for you. All these children have malnutrition. That means they have no nutrition. That’s one thing you call a problem. it is our problem that all over the world children suffer from hunger.

They suffer from hunger because their countries are poor. I think one of the reasons they are poor is because their government spent all their money on the country in a bad way so that means they haven’t used it wisely. They have raised food prices.  In my opinion, I say why. Why does it have to be this way? I mean, bad governmental choices? WHY!!!!!!!!  It is our problem.

We are all the same in this world we are all equal. So why make bad choices? Why rise food prices? Why do some people  Children like me feel very sad when they hear another child has died from hunger. If you had a leftover sandwich that hasn’t been eaten think about the African children that only get one meal a day or one meal a week! It is our problem.

So what can you do?  Plan for a sustainable future? Sponsor a child.  Take a stand by spending money wisely.  Make good choices and appreciate your three meals a day - and that isn’t including all that junk food you probably eat.  Another thing that you can do TODAY is visit freerice.com.  It is a website that has word challenges and every question you get right you donate ten grains of rice to those poor children who don’t get any food - and go hungry.  I donated 6 bowls of rice in 15 minutes.  THAT is making a difference.

These are a few of the things you can do to help these children that have this thing called hunger. So, save the children - it is our problem
